The cryptocurrency industry has seen a surge in activity in recent weeks, especially around the time of the US elections. The focus has primarily been on the price of Bitcoin, but other cryptocurrencies have also been affected.
In late October, the Bitcoin price surpassed $70,000 as the US election campaigns concluded, leading to Donald Trump being elected as the next president in November. These events and their timing were actually predicted by a popular crypto analyst on social media, as part of a larger forecast that Bitcoin could reach $1 million.
PlanB, the crypto analyst, outlined a roadmap for Bitcoin’s price trajectory that included reaching $70,000 in October, followed by Trump’s election victory in November. This was expected to end the Biden/Harris/Warren/Gensler war on crypto and pave the way for Bitcoin to hit $100,000 by December. PlanB also anticipated an influx of capital from new Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) driving the price to $150,000 by December 2024.
Looking ahead to 2025, PlanB predicted a price of $200,000 by January, a temporary dip to $150,000 in February due to early investors cashing out, and a surge to $300,000 in March as Bitcoin becomes legal tender in certain countries. April could see the US accumulating Bitcoin as a strategic reserve, pushing the price to $400,000, with other countries following suit in May and driving the price to $500,000.
By June 2025, AI-powered trading algorithms were expected to boost Bitcoin to $600,000, leading to a FOMO phase that could see the price surpass $1,000,000 by the end of the year. However, a distribution phase in 2026 could see the price drop back to $500,000, with a bear market forecasted for 2027 and a bottom near $200,000.
As of the latest update, Bitcoin is trading at $75,120, with a recent all-time high of $76,243 in the past 24 hours. Momentum suggests that the price could soon reach $80,000. The cryptocurrency market continues to be dynamic and unpredictable, with potential for further growth and volatility in the coming years.
